Online Safety

At St Richard Reynolds Primary we endeavour to make sure all our pupils are aware of some of the risks to safety that are online and what to do to remain safe when using the internet. We have extensive security measures in place in school, which are monitored both internally and externally, to help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material. Any E-Safety incidents are recorded and managed. E-Safety is taught to all pupils explaining and demonstrating how to stay safe and behave appropriately online.  Every child at St Richard Reynolds has signed an age appropriate Online User Agreement and is expected to follow the guidelines whenever they are online. We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with parents to ensure the e-Safety message is consistent. We work with parents to ensure children know about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online.

Support for Parents

We offer guidance and regular online safety workshops for parents.  The following links provide information and tips on how you can help your child stay safe online.  As a school we have membership for staff and parents to the National Online Safety Hub (National Online Safety | Keeping Children Safe Online in Education).  Parents have access to information videos and user guides.  The hub provides staff and parent training as well as supporting our E-Safety curriculum for pupils.  

The NSPCC website provides advice on cyberbullying & e-safety with links to helplines.

High School Tours & Open Evening

High School College Tours are taking place on Wednesdays and Fridays throughout September and October. Reservations for tour tickets have been closed as the tours are now full. Our Open Evening is a non-ticket event and is being held on Wednesday 2nd October, 5:30pm – 7:30pm, and all are welcome to attend. 

Sixth Form Open Evening
