We have appointed our first Primary Parliament which forms part of the College Parliament. This is made up of a boy and girl representative from each class (Year 1 upwards). The children are elected by the pupils in their classes after making speeches to say why they would be a good representative for their class and what changes they would like to make to the school and College.

The Primary Parliament work on different projects to help develop and improve the school. They listen to the views and opinions of their classmates and drive initiatives which the pupils of the school want to see.

This year the Primary Parliament focused on the school canteen. They met with the Catering Manager to put forward their suggestions and ran a competition to design posters about manners expected in the canteen.

Other areas the Primary Parliament wish to focus on this year are:

  • Playground
  • Extra-curricular clubs
  • Fundraising
  • PE Uniform

Each half term KS2 members of Primary Parliament join a College Parliament meeting. This is organised and run by the College Prime Ministers (Sixth Form Committee).
