The Sixth Form is the pinnacle of a student’s College journey and we have established a fantastic programme of study, enrichment, support and career opportunities across Years 12 and 13. The Sixth Form is a warm and welcoming place where everything we do is focused on achieving the best outcomes for the young adults we serve. Each year, we welcome a good proportion of our own High School students into our Sixth Form and they are joined by new entrants, bringing fresh energy and ideas to our community.
Our whole College ethos of ensuring our students are loved, listened to, challenged and inspired continues into the Sixth Form. We strive for academic excellence, as demonstrated by our exemplary A Level results, and we support our students to achieve their potential, principally through outstanding learning and teaching and tailored pastoral support; something on which the College prides itself. Our Catholic ethos enhances every aspect of what we offer and the students have several opportunities for worship, spiritual growth and community service throughout their Sixth Form life. You do not have to be Catholic to attend our Sixth Form, but you must be willing to respect our beliefs and traditions.
Our Futures Programme is carefully planned by our dedicated College Careers Advisor to support our Sixth Formers to explore, understand and plan for their next steps. As such, we give students a wide range of opportunities to find out about their post-18 options, including 1-2-1 interviews, UCAS conferences, talks from Russell Group Scholars, University visits and work experience opportunities.
Through a well-balanced curriculum of A Level courses, independent study and a wider enrichment programme (SHaPE), we are confident that our students will have a wealth of quality post-18 opportunities available to them, including universities, top-flight apprenticeships and promising careers.
