Our Catholic Community is central to everything we do. We use Christ as our role model for our interactions with each other and the wider community.
Our students are encouraged to engage with daily opportunities for prayer, attend Mass and our act of worship assemblies once per week. In addition to this, our students have an enticing and engaging core RE curriculum: we call this Faith in Action. This lives out our philosophy that students should do more than just learn about their faith; they should be able to act on and live out their faith too.
Every student is supported to find a Service opportunity within our community about which they can be passionate and committed. They may act as a role model to other students in one of our many instrumental groups, act as an academic mentor to other students, support a member of our admin staff, run a sports team for key stage 3 students: there are many many more roles.
The Cabinet (our group of student leaders in the Sixth Form) is selected because of their determination and potential for making a positive contribution to the College community. According to their own areas of interest they research, plan, organise and deliver a range of projects over the course of their term in office in one of the following areas:
- Social
- College Parliament
- Community
- Environment
- Futures
Each of these projects is planned to deliver against one or more aspects of Catholic Social Teaching and this year includes mentoring, team building events, sports programmes, Russell Group university support group.
