Learning Support Assistant
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: NJC Scale 4 point 7 – 10, £30,286 – £31,611 fte
Contract: Fixed term, initially until 31 August 2026 with potential to extend
Working hours/weeks: 36 hrs per week (8am – 4pm), Term time + 2 Inset Days (Full academic year: Term Time + 5 Inset Days)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed candidate to join our school as SEN Learning Support Assistant, providing in class support to students. You will be part of a collaborative and enthusiastic team of support staff, providing exceptional support for learning and teaching at our College in order to provide a world class education for our pupils. The SEND team helps students aged 11-18 access learning in the classroom, and supports students with literacy, numeracy, study and social skills.
You may have experience working with young people, having been an LSA before. However you may be returning to work after a career break, a career changer or someone who has never worked in a school setting but who would like to. We put a lot of store in your rapport with young people as well as your experience.
The role will include:
- Providing students with support specified by the teacher and SENCO, and encouraging independence and responsibility for learning and behaviour.
- Helping students to build self-esteem through positive interactions, praise and encouragement.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of SEN support plans and personal care programmes.
- Promoting inclusion throughout the College and establishing positive relationships with students.

We are looking to appoint a Religious Education teacher to join our department working with colleagues who are committed to delivering outstanding lessons across all key stages. This is a full-time position, initially for 1 year from September 2026 with potential to extend.
RE at SRRCC is an innovative, friendly and inclusive place to continue or begin your teaching career. The team has high standards of themselves and students and are collaborative in their practice. While we ask you to support our Catholic ethos, being a practising Catholic is not a requirement although is desirable, we welcome applicants from any background.
We will consider applications from Early Career Teachers and those who have been teaching for some time and are looking for a new challenge/career development and who already have a track record. Salary negotiable dependent upon calibre and experience.
