Curriculum Intent Statement
We teach history to broaden students’ understanding of the past and how it has shaped the world we live in today. We want our students to see themselves as historians, debate key issues and encourage them to challenge how the past has been interpreted. History is a study of humanity and is therefore relevant to all of us. By studying a wide variety of topics, we want to foster a love for learning through an exploration of past events and a lifelong curiosity about history.
