Music

Curriculum Intent Statement

We believe everyone is musical. Our personalised approach means that we inspire and challenge all students to develop as confident, resilient and creative musicians, realising their God-given musical potential.

Our students study a broad and ambitious curriculum that promotes self-expression, cultural understanding, and a celebration of music-making in all its diverse forms. We promote an inquisitive and questioning mind-set that does not accept musical ideas and traditions at face value.

We provide students with skills, knowledge, and personalised feedback to become accomplished performers, thoughtful listeners, and adventurous composers. We provide platforms to celebrate their work, and opportunities to review, reflect and improve. Through our work at St Richard Reynolds, we encourage a life-long passion for music.
