Admissions arrangements for September 2022

Offers of places for September 2022 were made on National Offer Day, 1st March 2022, by local authorities on behalf of the College. If you were unsuccessful in gaining a place you have the right to appeal to an independent appeals panel. If you were offered a place at a school you ranked lower than St Richard Reynolds in your preferences, you will be automatically added to our waiting list. If you were offered a place at a school ranked higher, you may still join the waiting list. Please do so by email to waitinglist@srrcc.org.uk with the following details:
1) Child's Name
2) Child's DOB
3) Child's Address
4) Contact number
5) Confirmation if you have originally applied.
Families have two weeks from National Offer Day to confirm whether they will be accepting initial offers made to their Local Authority - 14th March 2022. Should places become available AFTER this time, they will be allocated and offered according to the published over-subscription criteria week beginning 28th March 2022.

Please note: The College Office staff does not have visibility of the waiting list and are unable to give personal information regarding positions on the waiting list

Appeals

If you were unsuccesful in securing a place in Year 7 for September 2022, you may appeal against the decision not to offer your child a place. To make an appeal, please complete and return an appeal form (below) together with any supporting documents.

National offer day: 1st March 2022
Date by which an appeal must be submitted: 19th April 2022
Dates when appeals will be heard: All appeals received by 19 April 2022 will be heard on a weekdays before the end of the summer term
Date by when appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing: 14 calendar days in advance of the hearing
Date by which the Clerk sends appeal papers to the parents, the panel and the admission authority :7 working days before the appeal hearing  
Deadline for appellants to submit additional evidence: 8.00am 5 working days before the appeal hearing.


St Richard Reynolds Catholic High School is a voluntary aided co-educational secondary school within the trusteeship of the Diocese of Westminster. The Governing Body is the Admissions Authority and has determined its admissions arrangements and policy for September 2022. 180 students will be admitted to Year 7 in September 2022. 


The closing date for application for Year 7 in September 2021 was 31st October 2021. You may apply for a place in any year at the High School outside of the usual application process for those transferring from Year 6 at Primary Schools. You should apply directly to the school using the application form below.
